2012 Mercury Insurance Open
The Mercury Insurance Open 2012 was a hard court tennis tournament for women in Carlsbad in San Diego County. It was a tournament of the premier category of the WTA Tour in 2012. The tournament took place from 16 to 22 July 2012. At the same time took place the Sony Swedish Open 2012 in Båstad.
Defending champion Agnieszka Radwańska in the individual was who defeated Vera Swonarjowa in straight sets in 2011. In this year's finals defeated Dominika Cibulková her opponent Marion Bartoli 6-1, 7-5. Defender of the double was the pairing of Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik, who won in straight sets against Raquel Kops- Jones and Abigail Spears. Kops- Jones and Spears won this year's tournament in the final against Vania King and N. Petrova.
