2012 NBA draft

The 2012 NBA Draft was conducted at the Prudential Center in Newark (New Jersey) on 28 June 2012. In two draft rounds, the 30 NBA teams have secured the rights to 60 young players from the NCAA College Football and abroad.

In the draft lottery on May 30, 2012, the final selection order was determined. In this weighted lottery, the 14 teams took part, who could not qualify for the playoffs the season 2011/12. The New Orleans Hornets won the lottery before the Charlotte Bobcats and Washington Wizards.

All players who sign up for the draft, regardless of education or nationality must have been born before 31 December 1993. If they were not " international player " must have passed between the date of filing and the last high school year at least one year.

Anthony Davis was selected as the first player by the New Orleans Hornets. Behind Michael Kidd - Gilchrist landed with his team colleague at the University of Kentucky, at No. 2 for the Charlotte Bobcats. This was drafted by the same college at position one and two for the first time in the history Draft two players. The Top 3 completed Bradley Beal, who is moving to the Washington Wizards.
