Defending champions were Bob and Mike Bryan, that they separated from the semi-final against the eventual champions carrier Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen. Equipped with a double wildcard defeating in the final Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau, who failed for the third time in a row in the final. Marray and Nielsen are the first double pair that won the title as a wild card at Wimbledon. Marray is the first Briton since 1936 to have won the double competition at Wimbledon. Nielsen of the Danish first Grand Slam title holder is in a double at all.
