2012 World Men's Curling Championship
The Curling World Championship for Men (official Capital One World Men 's Curling Championship 2012) took place from 31 March to 8 April 2012 in the St. Jakob Halle in Basel, Switzerland. It was played in the usual mode. The teams played a round robin tournament ( " Round Robin "). The first four teams qualify for the finals and played for the medals.
Qualification
Fix qualified are Switzerland as organizing nation and Canada as the reigning world champion. The twelve participants extensive field is completed by the qualifiers of Curling Championship 2011 and the Pacific Curling Championship 2011 as well as by the teams of North Zone.
