2012 World Wrestling Championships
The Wrestling World Championships 2012 took place from 27 to 29 September at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park, Strathcona County, Alberta instead. Because of the Olympics in the same year only Women's competitions were held. Only competitions took place in four weight classes as well as at the 2004 Olympic Games and 2008 Olympic Games in the women, so it was decided that to hold separate world championships. A total of 111 wrestlers from 28 nations participate.
