2013–14 FA Cup

The FA Cup 2013/14 is the 133rd edition of the world's oldest football cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup. This Cup season began with 737 clubs.

The cup competition was launched on August 17, 2013 with the Extra Preliminary Round and ends with the final at Wembley Stadium in London on 17 May 2014.

The FA Cup is played in rounds. Can participate, each team that has a given level of performance and has an adequate pitch. The pairings for each round will be drawn in an open draw with no seedings. The first drawn team has home advantage. If the game ends in a draw, is a return match held at the place of the other team. The return game also ends in a draw the game goes into extra time and penalties. This mode goes up to the sixth main round. From the semi-finals, there is only a game, if necessary, with extra time and penalties.

Some teams are exempted from certain rounds:

  • In the second qualifying round, the teams of the Conference North / South (6th flight of English league operations ) are added.
  • In the fourth qualifying round, the teams of the National Conference will be added (5th flight of English league operation ).
  • In the first round the teams in the League 1 and 2 Football League ( 3rd and 4th flight of the English league operations ) are added.
  • In the third main round on the first weekend of January, the teams of the Football League Championship will be added (2nd flight of English league operation ) and the Premier League ( first division of the English league operation )

The semi-final matches will be on neutral ground, the final at Wembley Stadium.

Each winner receives a premium from the television money, which is graded according round.

Main Round

First Main Round

In the first round enter each of 24 teams in the Football League One and Two in the competition.

The draw for the first round was held on 27 October 2013. The Games were held from 8 November to 5 December 2013.

Second Main Round

The draw for the second main round was held on 10 November 2013. The games were completed on 6 December 2013 to January 8, 2014.

Third main round

In this round, the teams enter the FA Premier League (20 teams) and the teams of the Football League Championship (24 teams) in the competition.

The draw for the third main round took place on 8 December 2013. The games were completed from 4 to 21 January 2014.

Fourth Main Round

The draw for the fourth round Main took place on 5 January 2014. The games will be completed by 24 January to 4 February 2014.

Fifth Main Round

The draw for the fifth main round was held on 26 January 2014. The games will be completed on 15 to 24 February 2014.

Sixth Main Round ( Quarterfinals )

The draw for the quarter-finals took place on 15 February 2014.

The games were completed on 8 and 9 March 2014.

Semifinal

The draw for the semi-finals took place on 9 March 2014.

The games will be completed over the weekend of 12th and 13th April 2014.
