2013–14 Football League Cup

The League Cup 2013/14 ( Sponsor Name Capital One Cup) was the 54th edition of the tournament. The tournament started with 92 clubs.

The competition started on August 5, 2013, the first round and ended with the final at Wembley Stadium in London on March 2, 2014. Winner of the competition was the first time since 1976 Manchester City with the third overall Cup victory.

First round

The draw for the first round was held on 17 June 2013. The Wigan Athletic and Reading FC were the only teams from the Football League, who went in the second round of the tournament, as they were the two bestplatziertesten teams last season. The other 70 teams in the Football League had already compete in the first round.

Second Round

In the second round, the 13 Premier League clubs got in, who could not qualify for a European competition in the last season.

Third Round

From the third round had to play the seven teams that had qualified for the current season for European competitions.

Were wearing the meetings on 24 and 25 September 2013.

Second round

Be wearing the meetings on 28 and 29 October and 6 November 2013.

Quarterfinals

Be wearing the meetings on 17 and 18 December 2013.
