2013–14 Scottish Challenge Cup

The Scottish League Challenge Cup was 2013/14 played out for the 23rd time. The Scottish Football competition, which was officially discharged as Ramsdens Challenge Cup, began with two qualifying matches on 13 and 20 July 2013 between the top two finishers of the past Highland Football League the Spartans FC and the Threave Rovers. The final took place on 6 April 2014 at Easter Road stadium in Edinburgh. At the competition the clubs in the Scottish Football League and the two clubs from the Highland Football League participated. As defending champion started Queen of the South that prevailed in the previous final against Partick Thistle on penalties. In this year's final the Raith Rovers were able to put against the favorite Glasgow Rangers 1-0 after extra time. It was for the team from the port town of Kirkcaldy, the first title ever in the Challenge Cup. Finally, the Rovers won the League Cup in season 1994/95.
