2013–14 UEFA Youth League

The UEFA Youth League 2013/14 is the first season of the most important European competition for U-19 club teams in football. Based on the UEFA Champions League play in this competition, the youth teams of clubs who are qualified in the same season for the group stage of the Champions League.

Mode

For the group stage of the grouping and the Schedule of the UEFA Champions League is adopted. The game is played in eight groups of four teams in a return match. The First and Second of the groups remain in the competition, while the third and the fourth place out of the race.

After completion of all group matches, where two or more teams are equal on points, decides ( in that order)

After the group stage of the tournament follows ( in knock-out system ). In contrast to the Champions League matches are decided in the final round only in a game. The matches will be for the individual finals drawn separately, and in the second round to meet the group winners and runners-up of the former enjoy the home advantage. Failing to meet in the last sixteen teams that have already taken in the first round each other or belong to the same football association. From the quarter- finals, these restrictions no longer apply and the draw will decide which team is hosting. The semi-finals and finals will then be played in the form of a final tournament at a neutral site. A 3rd place match does not exist. Thus, no team needs to complete more than ten games. If, at the regular time tied the game without extension will be decided directly by penalties.

Second round

The ties for the knockout stages were drawn on December 16, 2013 in Nyon, Switzerland. The games were held on 18, 25 and 26 February 2014.

Quarterfinals

The remaining games of the final round were drawn on 16 December in Nyon, causing it to open draws for the quarter-finals of the games that were scheduled for the 11th, 16th and 18th of March came.

Semifinal

The two semi-final matches will take place in Nyon on 11 April 2014.

Final

The final will be held on April 14, 2014 in Nyon.
