2013 Aircel Chennai Open

The Aircel Chennai Open 2013 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Chennai from 31 December 2012 to 6 January 2013. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2013 and was held outdoors on hard court. In the same week Brisbane were playing the Brisbane International and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha in that counted just like the Aircel Chennai Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Last year's winner in Milos Raonic was single, but which took part in this year's tournament in Brisbane and there already retired in the second round. This year, it managed the seeded Serb Janko Tipsarevic Two and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in the final. After losing the first set the Serbian could still turn the game and ultimately won clearly with 3:6, 6:1 and 6:3, thus securing its quarterly individual titles on the ATP Tour. In doubles, won this year's French-speaking duo consisting of Frenchman Benoit Paire and Stanislas Wawrinka the Swiss. They won the final against the German duo Andre Begemann and Martin Emmrich significantly in two sets 6:2 and 6:1. For the duo, it was the first joint title on the ATP Tour.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 28 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The four top-seeded player in a single each received a bye into the second round.
