2013 European Trophy
The European Trophy 2013 is the fourth edition of the same competition, which is organized by the participating hockey clubs and partially used for pre-season training. This year take part in the same teams as last year at the Trophy. The tournament of six teams qualified for the finals will be held in Berlin under the name Red Bulls Salute.

Preliminary round
In the preliminary round, the 32 teams playing in four divisions of eight teams. Each team plays the other seven teams in the group and, in addition, an eighth match against local rivals.

Final round
The final round will be played under the name Red Bulls Salute. First up will qualify for only six teams. This will play first two groups of three teams in the Free-for -All mode. The two group winners then contest the final. For the Red Bull Salute addition to the four group winners and the host Polar Bears Berlin is qualified and the best runners-up.
Venue
Unlike in previous years, the Red Bull Salute 2013 will take place only in a city. On the Facebook presence of the European Trophy, a survey among fans was started in Berlin and Pardubice deposed as favorite. At the end of Berlin received with the O2 World the contract and will host the tournament from 19 to 22 December.
Mode
The six qualified teams will play first in two groups of three. The two group winners play in the final to win the tournament.
