2013 Major League Soccer season
The 18th Major League Soccer season began on March 2, 2013, the Regular Season. Then the play-offs were held in the fall of 2013, which ended on December 7th with the game to the MLS Cup. In the final, Sporting Kansas City won against Real Salt Lake on penalties.

Participating teams
Course of the season
The first games of the season took place on March 2, 2013, the last regular season games were played on October 27. As defending champions of the Championship LA Galaxy goes into the race. The league is divided into two conferences. Against teams in the same conference, each team plays two to three times while playing against teams in the other conference once in the season. In the highest-scoring game of the season, there were eight goals. Montreal Impact and Philadelphia Union broke up on May 25 with the final score of 5:3. The highest Home wins achieved New England Revolution on June 2 against LA Galaxy, Montreal Impact on August 24 against Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy on October 6 against CD Chivas USA 5-0, respectively. Away was on the last day (October 26 ) with 0:5 recorded the biggest win the Portland Timbers at Chivas USA.

Control level on points

The 16 U.S. teams in the MLS be part of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, while the three Canadian MLS teams, the Canadian Championship contest.
