2013 Mediterranean Games

The Mediterranean Games 2013 ( officially: XVII Mediterranean Games, Turkish XVII Akdeniz Oyunları ) were held until June 30, 2013 in Mersin, Turkey on 20.

All 24 members of the CIJM took part in the Games. The program included competitions in 27 sports.

Application

To the alignment of the cities of Rijeka ( Croatia), Mersin ( Turkey) and Volos and Larisa (Greece ) had applied to a common candidacy. On 27 October 2007 Greece was awarded the contract. Due to the economic crisis in the country his orientation was withdrawn on 28 January 2011. In a survey conducted by the ICMG online voting Mersin was selected as the host.

Badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, archery, bocce, boxing, fencing, football, weightlifting, handball, judo, kayaking, karate, athletics, cycling, horse riding, rhythmic gymnastics, wrestling, rowing, swimming, sailing, shooting, taekwondo, table tennis, gymnastics, volleyball and water polo.

Protests and ticket allocation
