2013 MercedesCup

The 2013 Mercedes Cup was a tennis tournament which took place in Stuttgart from 8th to 14th July 2013. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2013 and was discharged on clay court. In the same week the SkiStar Swedish Open and played in Newport Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Båstad, who scored just like the MercedesCup to Category ATP World Tour 250.

The defending champion in singles, Janko Tipsarevic, playing in a tournament the week and therefore did not defend his title from last year. In doubles, won last year Jérémy Chardy and Łukasz Kubot the title. But they took this year will not participate in the tournament. The finals of the individual competition won Fabio Fognini of Italy against the set at position two Philipp Kohlschreiber with 5:7, 6:4 and 6:4. This was Fogninis first individual title of his career. In doubles, defeated Facundo Bagnis from Argentina and Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil, the two poles Tomasz Bednarek and Mateusz Kowalczyk with 2:6, 6:4 and [ 11:9 ]. Also for Bagnis Bellucci and it was the respective first ATP title, but here in the doubles competition.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 28 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The four top-seeded player in singles each got a bye into the second round.

Qualification

Qualifying for the 2013 Mercedes Cup was held between July 8, 2013 from 6. Were playing four qualifiers places eligible to participate in the main draw of the tournament.

Prize money and world ranking points

When MercedesCup 2013, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid or credited for each round is reached.
