2013 NBA All-Star Game

The NBA All- Star Game in 2013 took place on February 17, 2013 at the Toyota Center in Houston instead, home to the Houston Rockets. The All-Star Game NBA guested so after 1989 and 2006 for the third time in Houston. The West team won the game with 143:138. Chris Paul was awarded with 20 points and 15 assists as the MVP of the game.

All-Star Game

Coach

Head Coaches ( German: Head Coach ) of the two All-Star teams are traditionally the two coaches, whose team leads the respective Conference two weeks before the game. For the team in the Western Conference was Gregg Popovich, coach of the San Antonio Spurs, and for the team in the Eastern Conference, Erik Spoelstra, coach of the Miami Heat, in charge. It was Popovichs third and Spoelstras first appearance as head coach of an All-Star team.

Squad

The players (two guards and three frontcourt players per Conference), who received the most votes by fan voting, were placed on the grid. After the election, the 30 head coaches in the NBA clubs investigated further seven players for the team of their Conference (two guards, three frontcourt players and two more independent of position players ), so a total of 24 players participated in this game.

* Chris Bosh was taken for violating starter Rajon Rondo from the coach of the Eastern Conference Erik Spoelstra in the starting grid.

Brook Lopez was re-nominated ** for violating starter Rajon Rondo of commissioner David Stern for the squad.

BBVA Rising Stars Challenge

In the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge the TNT analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal took the role of General Manager and presented from a selected assistant coaches of the NBA rookies and sophomores Clubs amount of one team of ten players together, which then competed against each other. Team Chuck won the game with 163:135. As the game's MVP Kenneth Faried was excellent.

Foot Locker Three- Point Shootout

Just as with the other competitions, the format was changed compared to the previous years, the Three-Point Shooutout. Three players from the Western Conference competed against three players from the Eastern Conference, then the two winners of each Conference provided a duel for the overall victory.

Sprite Slam Dunk Contest

The Sprite Slam Dunk Contest was conducted in a facility to previous years format. Three players from each conference occurred in two rounds against each other, then it came in the final duel between the two winners of each Conference. The fans were allowed to vote via Twitter, SMS or nba.com about the winner.
