2013 Rally de Portugal

The 47th Rally of Portugal lasted from 11 to 14 April 2013. A total of 15 special stages were run on gravel.

Qualification ( Thursday, April 11 )

Dani Sordo, Sébastien Ogier won the qualification before. Sordo was able to be the first to choose his starting number of the first special stage on Friday, it starts as 13

Day 1 ( Friday, April 12 )

The first WP ( 20.3km ) won Ogier and the second special stage ( 18.3km ) went to Mads Østberg with 3.9 seconds ahead of Ogier and 10.3 seconds ahead of Sordo. Some of the gravel roads were wet and the tire choice was not easy. Ogier had raised four soft tires. The Ford driver Østberg and Novikov used the hard tire, as well as the Citroen driver Mikko Hirvonen and Dani Sordo. The VW driver and team-mate Ogier, Andreas Mikkelsen and Jari- Matti Latvala also sat on the harder tire compound. Mads Østberg overturned in the third special stage and had to give up the rally, Ogier took over the overall lead. Dani Sordo was in the stages 3 and 4 of the Fastest, Ogier was but still with 2.4 seconds credit winner of the day.

Day 2 (Saturday, 13 April)

Turbulent began the sixth special stage. First Thierry Neuville hit a tree, the suspension broke on the Ford Fiesta and shortly thereafter remained Dani Sordo are due to a technical problem. Ogier and Latvala controlled the rally and were in the lead.

Day 3 ( Sunday, April 14 )

Although Ogier had recurrent technical problems (clutch ), he could claim the lead but on the third day of the rally. The Polo R WRC Latvala had transmission problems and he lost a lot of time. Hirvonen took second place. Evgeny Novikov was fourth, as early as Saturday, Nasser Al- Attiyah was in fifth place. So was also the final classification.

The station Sport 1 brought a minimum of 30 minutes long daily report everyday. ServusTV sent on Monday after the rally a 60 minute summary of the evening program.
