Qualifying ( Wednesday, July 31 )

Mikko Hirvonen set in qualifying for Rally Finland on the fastest time. He started, on Thursday, at his own request, from the 14th position.

Day 1 ( Thursday, August 1 )

Unpleasant began his home rally for Jari -Matti Latvala. In the second special stage he went off the road and struck a stone. Provisionally, the driver and his co- pilot had the car repaired yet. After the fourth WP was not to think with a broken rear suspension to further movement. On Friday Latvala started under the Rally2 regulations again. During the first stages Sébastien Ogier and Thierry Neuville gave a duel to tenths of seconds and after three WPs, the two were even at the same time classified. Kris Meeke was brought from the Citroën factory team for Rally Finland and he was faster than the regular driver Hirvonen and Sordo in the first WPs right away. In the afternoon came the big rain. The waiters were always more difficult for the driver. Neuville went flawlessly and overtook Ogier. In third place Mads Østberg was 8.9 seconds behind Neuville.

Day 2 ( Friday, August 2 )

Neuville could not keep up the pace of Hirvonen, Ogier and Østberg. In the seventh special stage Østberg took the lead, with fastest time in the eighth WP Ogier took the lead again, Østberg countered in WP9. After 10 special stages Østberg led before Ogier and Hirvonen. Now Ogier showed his class. He won five stages and in the evening the show - test (2.06 km). In the afternoon Neuville overtook his Ford -brand counterparts, he is, however, just 0.9 seconds ahead of Østberg in second place.

Day 3 ( Saturday, August 3rd )

With a lead of 31.5 seconds Ogier went into the last four stages. Neuville won the WP 17 and was before Østberg, this won the WP 19 and overtook him again. Sébastien Ogier drove an easy victory, behind Østberg and Neuville fought in tenths of a second area for second place. Østberg had a big rock dodge and lost a few seconds on Neuville. In the power -stage Ogier was second and also won two World Championship points and so is the world title ever closer. Has won the Power Stage Neuville, a championship point secured Jari -Matti Latvala, who had to settle for 17th place.
