2013 Rolex Sports Car Series season
The Rolex Sports Car Series in 2013 began with the 24- hour race at Daytona 26-27. January 2013 and ended on September 28, 2013 at Lime Rock Park. It was the last season before the merger with the American Le Mans Series for the United SportsCar Championship.
New class structure
This season, a second class for GT cars was introduced, the GX class. In these cars were only allowed to start with alternative drive. However, the GX class had only three starters throughout the season, four more cars were in each race at the start. For the 2014 season in the new United SportsCar Championship class in the GT Daytona class ( former Grand -Am GT class ) is absorbed.
