2013 WTA Tour Championships
The WTA Championships 2013 ( also known as TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships - Istanbul 2013 known ) took place from 22 to 27 October 2013 Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul. The hard court tournament was after the four Grand Slam tournaments, the on points and prize money with the highest prize tournament of the WTA tournament in the calendar of the ladies. The Tennis Championships of the WTA Tour in women's singles and double were held for the third and so far last time in Istanbul.
Serena Williams defended her singles title and secured the fourth overall title at the WTA Championships. In addition, they won all their games in the tournament, thus securing the maximum number of 1,500 world ranking points and a record prize money of 2.145 million U.S. dollars. Winners were in double Peng Shuai and Hsieh Su -wei, who were able to enter the first Asian in the list of winners of the tournament. They defeated the Russian in the final pairing Jelena Wesnina / Ekaterina Makarova.

The top eight ladies in the WTA Race qualified for this competition. In addition there were two substitute players.
Competition mode
In the round-robin tournament phase (English Round Robin ) played four players in two groups each against all. The two winners of each group qualified for the semi-finals, which was held after the knockout system. The winner of each group played against the second of the other group and the winners of these games contested the final.
