2014 Aircel Chennai Open
The Aircel Chennai Open 2014 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Chennai on December 30, 2013 to January 5, 2014. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2014 and was held outdoors on hard court. In the same week Brisbane were playing the Brisbane International and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha in that counted just like the Aircel Chennai Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.
Defender of the single was the Serb Janko Tipsarevic, who due to a chronic heel injury he had suffered in October 2013 in his Erstrundenbegegnung against Marcel Granollers at the Valencia Open, could not defend his title. Meanwhile, top-seeded Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka was able to celebrate his second title in Chennai and its fifth overall single title of his career.
