2014 EFAF European Championship

The American Football European Championship 2014 will be held as a three stage tournament. The participating teams were divided into three divisions according to their last cutting.

The tournament of the game class C took place in Switzerland and Austria in the late summer of 2012. The winner of the tournament Serbia showed the so qualified for the next higher division.

In the late summer of 2013 six teams played in the game class B from the last node space for the main tournament in 2014.

Series A

The orientation of the tournament in the game class A, the actual American football championship in 2014, was transferred to the Austrian Association AFBÖ. The tournament will take place between 30 May and 7 June. The preliminary round matches will be played in Graz and St. Pölten. Final and 3rd place match will take place in Vienna at the Ernst Happel Stadium.

Series B

The tournament of the B teams took from August 31 to September 7, 2013 in Milan and was hosted by the Italian Association FIDAF. All games were played in Velodromo Maspes - Vigorelli Stadium.

Series C

The C European Championship was played in August and September 2012. As a participant of the tournament's lowest league following teams were entitled:

  • Russia Russia ( relegated Series B, 2010)
  • Serbia Serbia
  • Switzerland Switzerland
  • Netherlands The Netherlands
  • Belarus Belarus

After a pre-qualification, in Belarus met with Russia, the actual tournament was decided in two game days. The semi-finals were held in St. Gallen ( Switzerland ) on September 14. Finals and 3rd place match were played two days out in Hohenems ( Austria ).

Qualification

In a preliminary round game initially joined Russia against Belarus. For the Belarusian team was the first international match at all. Russia qualified for the semifinals with a victory.
