The 62nd Rally Sweden lasts from 5 to 8 February 2014. A total of 24 special stages are driven in Sweden and Norway border on snow and ice.

Day 1 ( Wednesday, February 5 )

When Shakedown was fastest before Jari- Matti Latvala in the VW Polo R WRC Kris Meeke and teammate Mads Østberg in the Citroën DS3 WRC. The Volkswagen Junior - driver Andreas Mikkelsen leads after the first day of the rally. Guest driver Henning Solberg won the 11th special stage, and thus the first since the Rally of Portugal 2009. Kubica slid off the road twice and stayed each stuck in the snow. Day 4 ( Saturday, February 8 )

Hyundai experienced a difficult third day and was eliminated on Friday with both cars out due to technical problems. Neuville and Hänninen could start on Saturday thanks to the rally -2- back regulations. Mikkelsen (VW) made ​​little mistakes but Latvala (VW) got the upper hand and won the Swedish Rally. Østberg ( Citroën) came up with a solid performance on the day and finished third. Fret Østberg had only on Friday when it blocked Kubica after a ride. Three additional World Cup points for the victory at the Power Stage went to Østberg, two of Latvala and Hirvonen at one, the fourth was the best Ford driver. Ogier drove to sixth place and overtook last Solberg.
