2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship

The final round of 30, U- 19 Championship will be held in Hungary in 2014. Hungary was established together with the organizers in 2015 and 2016 on 20 March 2012 a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Istanbul as the host. It is the second time after 1990, at that time that the finals will take place as U-18 European Championship in Hungary. Qualification

The qualification to the tournament takes place in two stages. In the first qualifying round followed called for a second round, Elite round. Hungary is directly qualified as hosts. The draw for the first round took place on December 5, 2012 in Nyon. Spain received a bye in advance for the elite round. The remaining 52 participants are divided into 13 groups of four teams. The draw for the Elite round took place in Nyon on 28 November 2013. Germany meets in Group 5 from May 31 to June 5, 2014 in Spain on Spain, Denmark and Lithuania, Switzerland in Group 3 has home advantage and hits from 25 to 30 May 2014, Georgia, Israel, Cyprus and Austria in Group 6 from 5 to 13 June in Romania to Russia, Norway and Romania.

Hungary is set to host the only team automatically for the finals. Thus, there are seven additional seats to be awarded to the seven group winners in the elite round. The following teams were able to previously qualify ( qualification path in brackets):

Preliminary round

The preliminary round will be played in two groups of four teams. The two group winners and runners-up qualified for the semifinals. In case of equal first decide the direct comparison and then the goal difference over the ranking. The first three teams in each group qualify for the U-20 FIFA World Cup 2015 in New Zealand.
