2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship

The final round of the 33 U-17 Football Championship will be held in Bulgaria in May 2015. It will be the first final of a UEFA competition in Bulgaria and the first of which - as recently in 2002 - will again take part 16 teams. All UEFA member associations have applied to take part. Bulgaria was selected in addition to the two organizers for 2014 and 2016 at the meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee on 20 March, 2012 in Istanbul.

Qualification

The first qualifying round, attended by all the candidates except Bulgaria host, was drawn on 28 November 2013. Germany previously received a bye for the elite round. The remaining 52 teams will play in 13 groups of four teams, the group winners and runners as well as the five best third qualify for the elite round. Austria meets in Group 9 in Albania from 8 to 13 October 2014, Norway, San Marino and Albania and Switzerland meet in Group 10 from 23 to 28 October 2014 in Belgium Belgium, Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Elite Round, in which the other 15 finalists are determined, will take place in spring 2015.

Mode, the final

The 16 qualified teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each. Within the groups, each team plays once against each other. The group winners and runners reach the quarter-finals. Their winning the semi-finals and the semi-final winners the finals; Third place is not played. The regular time of twice 40 minutes. From the semi-finals followed by draw after regular time no extension, but right after a penalty shootout.
