2016 European Athletics Championships

The 23rd European Athletics Championships will be held in the summer of 2016 in the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium of 1928. For the first time held the European Athletics Championships in the Netherlands. On 4 November 2011, the capital Amsterdam was awarded the contract over its competitors Istanbul (Turkey ) and the Croatian city of Split. The budget of the five-day event will be 19 million euros.
