2016 European Men's Handball Championship

The 12th European Handball Championship for men will be held in January 2016 and in Poland. Organizer is the European Handball Federation (EHF ).

Organizer

The 11th Congress of the European Handball Federation awarded the event during its meeting on June 22, 2012 in Monaco at the Polish Handball Federation. The candidacy sat down in the final agreement with 27: 19 votes against Croatia and Norway by applications.

Qualification

First qualifying round

Mode Nine teams will be distributed according to the EHF ranking on 3 pots. These are as follows: Pot 1: Greece, Estonia, Finland Pot 2: Italy, Cyprus, Belgium Pot 3: Luxembourg, Great Britain, Ireland

The three winners of the first qualifying round to take a knockout stage with the three lowest-ranked teams from the second qualifying round of the EHF EURO 2014 in part. Return game each mating place on 2 / 3 April 2014 and 5/6 April 2014 instead.

The three winners of this round then take part in the second qualifying round of the EHF EURO 2016.
