(202 ) Chryseis is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt, which was discovered on September 11, 1879 by Christian Heinrich Friedrich Peters.

Of the heavenly bodies was named after Chryseis from Greek mythology. Chryseis, daughter of Chryses priest of Apollo, was kidnapped by the Greek hero Achilles.
