( 21804 ) Václavneumann is an asteroid of the outer main belt, which by the Czech astronomer L. Sarounová at the observatory Ondřejov (IAU code 557 ) was discovered on the mountain Manda in Ondřejov near Prague on October 4, 1999.

The asteroid belongs to the Hilda group, that is, it moves in an orbital resonance of 3:2 with the planet Jupiter around the Sun. Namesake of this group is the asteroid (153 ) Hilda.

The asteroid was named on 26 May 2002 after the Czech conductor, violin and viola player Václav Neumann ( 1920-1995 ), who as an outstanding interpreter of the works of Leoš Janáček, Antonín Dvořák and Mahler, as well as the newer Czech music (Josef Suk, Bohuslav Martinů, etc.) was considered and 1962 Leoš Janáček's opera the Excursions of Mr. Broucek recorded for the first time.
