( 22442 ) Blaha is an asteroid of the main belt, by Czech astronomers Jana Ticha and Miloš Tichý at Kleť Observatory (IAU code 046) was discovered in Český Krumlov in South Bohemia on 14 October 1996.

The asteroid was named after the American astronaut John Blaha Elmer ( b. 1942 ), who completed a total of five space flights, including a four -month stay on the space station MIR. A planned sixth mission was canceled after the Challenger disaster.
