( 2260 ) Neoptolemus is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans. Thus asteroids are called, which run on the path of Jupiter on the Lagrange points around the sun. ( 2260 ) Neoptolemus was discovered on November 26, 1975 at the Purple Mountain Observatory.

Was named the asteroid after Neoptolemus, a Greek warrior from Greek mythology.
