22nd National Hockey League All-Star Game

The 22nd National Hockey League All-Star Game was held on January 21, 1969 in Montreal, Quebec. The host of the game was the ninth time the Montreal Canadiens.

The event, which was held at the Montreal Forum, the best players in the National Hockey League participated. Once in the past, the NHL All-Stars were lined up against the reigning Stanley Cup winner, the players of the Eastern Division first played against the Western Division. The NHL Writers Association appointed twelve players per team. The respective coaches filled the squad on then. The stadium was 16,260 spectators who attended together for income of 78 023 dollars.

Game History

For the last time in the history of the All-Star game there was a draw. In later years, the game was decided in overtime. As with the recent 3-3 draw earlier in 1963 was Frank Mahovlich the MVP of the All- Star Games. He was the first player to receive this award for the second time.
