( 23355 ) Elephenor is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans. Thus asteroids are called, which run on the path of Jupiter on the Lagrange points around the sun.

( 23355 ) Elephenor was discovered on 17 October 1960 by the Dutch astronomer Cornelis Johannes van Houten, Ingrid van Houten - Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels at Palomar Observatory. He is associated with the Lagrangian point L4.

The asteroid is named after King Elephenor of Euboea. This was the last year of the Trojan War by the hand of the Trojan Agenor.
