( 2410 ) Morrison is one of the main belt asteroid, which was discovered on January 3, 1981 in Coconino County by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station (IAU code 688 ) of the Lowell Observatory.

The asteroid was named after the active at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu astronomer David Morrison. By naming his research on the radiometric properties of the asteroids have been recognized in the infrared range. These formed the basis for the distinction of the surface albedo and composition of asteroids. He developed beyond a taxonomic system of asteroids and the distribution of different types within the main belt.
