  • Hamilcar Barca is commander of Carthage in Sicily. There he succeeds in the sequence, the bridgehead to Drepanum and Lilybaeum expand again and regain lost ground.

Mihintale, one of the first Buddhist monasteries, built on the Missaka Mountain about 7 kilometers east of Anuradhapura.
