( 2570 ) Porphyro is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on August 6, 1980 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station (IAU code 688 ) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County.

The asteroid was named after Porphyro, the male main character from the 1819 and 1820 authored published poem The Eve of St. Agnes by John Keats.
