( 2594 ) Acamas is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans. Thus asteroids are called, which run on the path of Jupiter on the Lagrange points around the sun. ( 2594 ) Acamas was discovered on October 4, 1978 by Charles T. Kowal.

The asteroid was named after Akamas, a warrior from the Trojan War.
