(261 ) Prymno is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt, which was discovered on 31 October 1886 by Christian Heinrich Friedrich Peters at the observatory of Clinton (USA).

It was named after the nymph celestial bodies Prymno, a daughter of Oceanus and Tethys in Greek mythology.
