( 3018 ) Godiva is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 21 May 1982 in Coconino County by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station (IAU code 688 ) of the Lowell Observatory.

Was named the asteroid after Lady Godiva, an Anglo-Saxon nobleman of the 11th century. She rode the legend, only with her long hair dressed by Coventry to move her husband Leofric, Earl of Mercia, to lower taxes.
