( 30445 ) Stirling is one of the main asteroid belt, which from the Italian-American astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory (IAU code 684) was discovered in Arizona on July 5, 2000.

The asteroid was named after the Scottish mathematician James Stirling (1692-1770), who was elected in 1727 a member of the Royal Society and named after him the Stirling formula for calculating aufstellte great faculties.
