( 30828 ) Bethe is an asteroid of the main belt, which by the German astronomer frankness Börngen and Lutz D. Schmadel at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg (IAU code 033) was discovered in Thuringia on 12 October 1990.

The asteroid was named after the German - American physicist Hans Bethe (1906-2005), who worked at the invitation of Robert Oppenheimer on the atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb and 1967 was the first physicist awarded the Nobel Prize in physics for a topic in astrophysics ( his work received on the energy conversion in stars from the year 1938).
