( 3794 ) Sthenelus is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans. Thus asteroids are called, which run on the path of Jupiter on the Lagrange points around the sun. ( 3794 ) Sthenelus was discovered on 12 October 1985 by the American astronomer Jean Carolyn Spellman Shoemaker. He is associated with the Lagrangian point L4.

It is named after the asteroid Sthenelus, a Greek warrior in the Trojan War.
