Sicily

• Dionysius I of Syracuse breaks his contract with the Carthaginians, which provides for the division of Sicily, and begins a campaign to conquer the island. Significance is Dionysius ' siege of the city of Segesta.
• The Carthaginians built the fortress Marsala ( Lilybaeum ) in western Sicily after Dionysius of Syracuse destroyed their base Mozia.

Roman Republic

• Lucius Iulius Iullus, Lucius Furius Medullinus, Lucius Sergius Fidenas, Aulus Postumius Albinus Regillensis, Publius Cornelius Maluginensis and Aulus Manlius Capitolinus Vulso be Roman Konsulartribunen.
