3DLabs

3Dlabs was a company that manufactured until 2006 graphics cards for the professional sector. It was founded in April 1994. In October 1996 we began trading with the shares of the company on the NASDAQ stock exchange. In July 1998, the company Dynamic Pictures took over in July 2000, a division of Intergraph. In June 2002, 3Dlabs was from Creative Labs (now renamed Creative Technology ) for approximately 104 million U.S. dollars bought. In early 2006, the development of graphics chips in the " Professional Workstation " in favor of handhelds has been set. At that time, the market share of 3Dlabs graphics cards worldwide was estimated including all graphics chip manufacturers to below 1%.

In January 2009, the renaming of ZiiLABS and a second inclusion in Creative Technology was held.

3Dlabs was a member of the OpenGL Architecture Review Board, and played a significant role in the development of OpenGL 2.0, what their Wildcat VP graphics cards series was the reference platform.

The graphics processor GLint 300SX is considered the first single integrated circuit, which supported the 3D computer graphics.
