47th National Hockey League All-Star Game

The 47th National Hockey League All-Star Game was held on January 18, 1997 in San Jose, California. The first-time host of the game, since its foundation in 1991, were the San Jose Sharks.

San Jose should already during the 1994/95 season the venue for the All-Star Game, but the entire season was due to the lockout from. As compensation, the city received for the 1996/97 season new opportunity.

The event, which was held in the San Jose Arena, the best players in the National Hockey League participated. In the game, the best players in the Western Conference competed against the best players in the Eastern Conference. The transfer of rights to the game held in the United States and Canada FOX CBC.

Game History

The players of the Eastern Conference laid the foundation for their victory in the first and second third as get them four or three consecutive goals.
