( 4834 ) Thoas is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans. Thus asteroids are called, which run on the path of Jupiter on the Lagrange points around the sun. ( 4834 ) Thoas was discovered on 11 January 1989 by the American astronomer Jean Carolyn Spellman Shoemaker. He is associated with the Lagrangian point L4.

The asteroid is named after the mythological king Thoas, the son of Andraemon named, who led the Aetolians in the Trojan War.
