( 52975 ) Cyllarus is an asteroid from the group of centaurs.

He was discovered at Kitt Peak National Observatory ( IAU code 695 ) in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona by Nichole M. Danzl within the Spacewatch project on 12 October 1998.

It is named after the centaur Kyllaros, who was killed at the wedding celebration of the Lapiths King Pirithous in the battle by a spear.
