(532 ) Herculina is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt, which was discovered on April 20, 1904 in Heidelberg by the German astronomer Max Wolf. The origin of the name is unknown.

Herculina moves at a distance of 2.277 ( perihelion ) to 3.265 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in about 4.62 years of the sun. The orbit is inclined 16.3084 ° to the ecliptic, the orbital eccentricity is 0.1778.

With a diameter of about 222 kilometers Herculina is one of the largest asteroids of the main belt. It rotates in 9.405 hours around its own axis and the albedo of the surface is 0.16.

In 1978, we found evidence which indicated that Herculina could have a moon. Recent studies with the Hubble Space Telescope could not support this assumption, however.
