The Dukes Butilin and Leuthari I., Alemannic origin pull through with an army of Franks and Alemanni Italy.

Second Council of Constantinople Opel (5th Ecumenical Council ): The last general council of late antiquity discards some writings of Origen and the teachings of three of Nestorianism bezichtigter theologians of the 5th century. (see: Chapter Three armed ). Pope Vigilius, who is indeed present in Constantinople Opel, but can be represented in the Council of legate, agrees with the decisions, which brings him strong criticism within the Roman clergy and even a schism among the bishops of Italy triggers until the end of the 7th century continues. Ultimately, however, also recognizes the Western Church the decisions.

During an earthquake in Constantinople Opel the dome of the Hagia Sophia collapses.
