( 5535 ) Anne Frank is one of the main asteroid belt asteroid with a diameter of six kilometers. The asteroid was discovered on 23 March 1942 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth and later named to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust Anne Frank.

Anne Frank moves between 2.0723 ( perihelion ) AU to 2.3526 AU ( aphelion ) on a nearly circular orbit around the sun. The orbit is inclined 4.2469 ° to the ecliptic, the orbital eccentricity is 0.0633.

On 2 November 2002, the Stardust spacecraft flew over 3079 km distance to Anne Frank, and sent more than 70 recordings to Earth. The images show an irregularly shaped, littered with impact craters celestial body with a very dark surface.
