( 5757 ) Ticha is an asteroid of the main belt, which on May 6, 1967 by Argentine astronomer Carlos Cesco Ulrrico and his U.S. colleague Arnold R. Klemola at the Astronomical device Leoncito ( Complejo El Astronómico Leoncito, CASLEO ) (IAU code 829 ) was discovered in El- Leoncito National Park in Argentina.

The asteroid was named after the Czech astronomer Jana Ticha (* 1965) identified that occupies a significant position in astronomy as director of Kleť Observatory and Chairman of the Committee on Small Body Nomenclature ( CSBN ) of the International Astronomical Union.
